Selection

Selecting objects is fundamental to editing your model.

Entering Select Mode & Single Selection

Press Esc or click the Select toolin the toolbar.

Click on any node or member to select it. The previous selection is cleared.

Box Selection

Hold Shift and drag click the mouse to create a selection box:

Hold Control and drag click the mouse to create a selection box:

  • Left-to-Right: Selects/Deselects objects fully inside the box
  • Right-to-Left: Selects/Deselects objects that touch the box

Selection Shortcuts

Other useful shortcuts:

  • Ctrl+A - Select all nodes and members
  • Ctrl+I - Invert selection
  • Escape - Clear selection

Selection Filtering

The Properties panel shows different options based on what's selected:

  • Single node: Position, supports
  • Single member: Section, material, node fixity
