Settings

Customize AutoCalcs to your preferences.

Accessing Settings

Open Settings from the menu or click the gear icon.

Visual Settings

• Node Size: Size of node markers (default: 0.12)
• Line Thickness: Width of member lines (default: 1.5)
• Theme: Light, Dark, or System

Snapping Settings

Control snap behavior while drawing:

• Node Snap: Snap to existing nodes
• Midpoint Snap: Snap to member midpoints
• X/Y/Z Axis Snap: Snap to axis directions
• 30° Snap: Snap to 30° increments
• 45° Snap: Snap to 45° increments

Unit Settings

Choose your preferred unit system:

Metric

• Length: m, mm
• Force: kN, N
• Moment: kN·m
• Stress: MPa

Imperial

• Length: ft, in
• Force: kip, lb
• Moment: kip·ft
• Stress: ksi

Hotkey Settings

Customize keyboard shortcuts:

1. Go to Settings → Hotkeys
2. Click on a shortcut to change it
3. Press the new key combination
4. Click Save

Reset to defaults if needed.

Saving Settings

Settings are automatically saved:

• To browser storage (local)
• To your account (when signed in)

Settings sync across devices when signed in.
